Warmer days mean it's time to think about how best to protect ourselves and nurses ours hair during the summer. Sun, saltwater and claws able to at the damage ours hair, but with proper care able to we keep it fresh and shiny all season.
Here are some of our top tips:
1. Use UV protection for your hair:
Just like our skin needs ours hair protection against the sun's harmful UV rays. There are many products on the market that able to help with this, from shampoos and conditioner with UV protection for special hair sprays.
2. Keep hair moisturized:
Summer heat able to dry out your hair. To counteract this, use a moisturizing conditioner or hair mask once or twice a week. Oils such as argan, coconut or jojoba able to also help to moisturize and nourish the hair.
3. Protect your hair in the pool:
Claws able to damage and discolor the hair, especially if it is dyed. Rinse your hair with fresh water before diving into the pool to protect it. Another tip is to use a swimming cap if you plan to be in the water a lot.
4. Avoid excessive heat:
Use of heat-styling tools such as flat irons, curling irons or hair dryers able to further dry out and damage the hair. Try to let your hair dry naturally as much as possible, and if you must use heat, always use a heat protectant spray or serum first.
5. Eat right:
Your hair reflects your overall health and diet. Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins to give hair the nutrients it needs to grow strong and healthy.
